The Cross-Analysis is another Business Intelligence tool that we discussed in the previous article (February 2011)<\/span><\/span>. This is not new in DCision ERP<\/strong><\/em><\/span> software, but it is a tool used more than ever that deserves to be known and used more.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Cross-Analysis is a powerful tool for data analysis<\/span><\/span>. It is dynamic because it is the user who chooses the presentation of the data and he can constantly change the presentation of the same data once extracted from the databases<\/span><\/span>. This is quite a contrast to the regular reports and even export to Excel<\/span><\/span>. A spreadsheet such as Excel has a cross-analysis feature called Pivot Tables<\/span><\/span>. These require certain knowledge to be able to use them and are generally poorly integrated into management applications<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The DCision ERP<\/strong><\/em><\/span> software incorporates a powerful and easy-to-use analysis tool available in all applications<\/span><\/span>. The user of DCision ERP<\/span><\/strong><\/em> has in fact several Cross-Analysis at his disposal in the Financial Management system (transactions to <\/span>GL, analyzes of accounts payable sub-ledger and accounts receivable sub-ledger, projects and generic sub-ledgers), in the Operations Management system (planning<\/span> , purchases, sales, MRP, lot \/ serial numbers, etc.) and in the membership Management system.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Use is simple: The user can access the Cross-Analysis of their choice from the \u00ab Analysis \u00bb menu<\/span><\/span>. He then has the option of selecting one or more databases and the system extracts the data and presents them in the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Cross-Analysis<\/span><\/span>. Once the data has been extracted, the user can select the data they want to analyze and present them in countless ways<\/span><\/span>. Once the desired presentation is obtained, it can be stored<\/span> as a template so that it can be reused in future data extracts.<\/span><\/span> Data can be printed and exported to Excel<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Here is an example of a sales Cross-Analysis prepared to present sales by customer and product category<\/span><\/span> :<\/p>\n
